The Affinity of Angkarn

14 February to 19 April 2026
Wednesday-Sunday from 9 AM-5 PM
At Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives,
Co Dhamma Space, floor 1

The formation of a crystal in physical terms may be the arrangement of a particle structure, but in terms of thought and identity, the crystal of Angkarn Kallayanapong arises from an unfolding journey and the accumulation of experience, both bitter and blissful. What he firmly believed in was rebirth as a poet, sustained by love, faith, and an unwavering, courageous resolve to create works that nurture the human world and carry forward the literature that stands tall amid a society awash with relentless change.

Angkarn was both a poet and an artist who lived through many eras. If he were still alive in 2026, he would have turned 100 in February. The Art and Archives of Angkarn Kallayanapong, in collaboration with Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives, presents the exhibition “The Affinity of Angkarn” as part of the centenary celebration of Angkarn Kallayanapong’s birth. The exhibition presents groups of archival materials—such as documents, photographs, personal belongings, and collectibles—relating to love in many dimensions, such as love for fellow human beings, living creatures, family, nature, and love and faith in Buddhism. When love is interpreted through the heart of a poet, it acquires profound and delicate dimensions. Angkarn viewed these things with deep insight, refining and crystallizing them within himself into philosophical concerns, allowing people to absorb the intentions of the world and the universe.

The exhibition runs from 14 February to 19 April 2026, at Co Dhamma Space, floor 1, Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives (Suan Mokkh Bangkok). Open Wednesday-Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Closed on Monday-Tuesday). This exhibition is part of a series of three exhibitions held throughout 2026 at different venues, in collaboration with participating partners and organizations, to commemorate Angkarn Kallayanapong on the occasion of his centenary. Another 2 exhibitions will take place around mid-year and later on, further details will be announced through social platforms and media partners.
