The Memory Archive of Angkarn Kalayanapong Exhibition

This exhibition on view from 1 January – 30 December 2024.

The evidence of the existence of humans can be demonstrated in many different ways. Some might be kept in a good place, while the other might be scattered. However, when we put everything together and then organize, create a system, conserve and preserve it, it will create the ‘Archive’ status. The status doesn’t limit to only an individual. Everyone can have an ‘Archive’ status.

In addition to Angkarn Kalayanapong’s works, his drafts, equipment, appliances, collectible items, letters, and documents that were once owned by him are components of his archives that fulfil the value and convey meaningful meanings to him. Having appraised the value of the objects and organized them to present the core value of the artist as well as showcased the evidence of his existence, this is the first exhibition to be held in the archive center which displays collections of Angkarn Kalayanapong’s works including literature, paintings, duplications of traditional paintings and archives in order to communicate and preset the audience about his diverse personalities and allow them to understand the different contexts that influenced him throughout his lifetime including society, economics, politics, religion, art and culture and history in a specific period.

Angkarn Kalayanapong’s archives and works will be displayed thematically. The theme of the exhibition will be changed every 1 year. This exhibition will be on view from now until 30 December 2024. Opens by appointment only.
