Payao province<br \/>Technique: Acrylic Colour<\/p><p>Concept: The elements in this work are based on the artist\u2019s faith in Buddhism. He intended to convey the atmosphere of heaven. He used red as the main colour on the wall in order to create a sense of unity. It is also his intention to create his own pattern which is considered as experimental to traditional Thai painting as appeared in the drawing of Buddha. In this mural, he sketched directly to a wall and drew over the same lines instead of drawing with bold lines in contrast with traditional Thai techniques.<\/p><p>More information: Sathirakoses-Nagapradipa Foundation in collaboration with Matichon commissioned Angkarn Kallayanapong to paint a mural which he had to meet the deadline. However, with an aim to create a flawless mural, it led to delays. Kanchai Boonpan and the abbot ordered Angkarn to stop the project and commissioned Phaptawan Suwannakudt to continue the work. This caused the mural in this sanctuary to be inconsistent.<\/p><p>At the beginning of his artistic career, Angkarn painted his own works while he was commissioned for murals at several places including Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, Bank of Thailand, Saraburi Hospital, Djittabhawan College, President Hotel, Plaza Hotel and Erawan
